The DuraTech Square Ceiling Support Box supports pipe chimney and provides a positive connection between the support box and the chimney pipe with an integrated twist-lock feature. This ceiling support is suitable for both flat and cathedral roof applications and can also be used in short attic spaces. Designed for appliances tested and listed for use with a 2100-degree HT chimney system, such as wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, ranges, water heaters, or other wood, oil, coal, or gas-fueled appliances. This ceiling support fits between 16 inches of center rafters and most mobile home applications and supports up to 60 feet of DuraTech chimney. A 2-inch-wide trim collar is included. DuraTech is a double-wall fuel chimney system for use With wood stoves, fireplaces, ovens, boilers, ranges, water heaters, or other appliances fueled by wood, oil, coal, or gas, and factory-built zero-gap chimneys. Featuring an insulating thermal blanket between double walls, DuraTech offers superior safety and performance. It keeps the exterior wall cool while ensuring high flue gas temperatures for optimal shutdown performance. The interior wall is 25% thicker than competing chimneys for an added margin of safety. Designed for normal, continuous operation at flue gas temperatures of 1000°F, DuraTech is subject to the rigorous and stringent HT requirements of the UL standard, including one hour at 1400°F, plus three ten-minute chimney fire tests at 2100°F.
