An exceptionally useful plane, this rebating block plane offers the end grain cutting capability of a low angle block plane and combines it with the flush cutting ability of a rebating plane. This gives a plane that will trim and finish end grain on difficult areas such as tenon shoulders. The newly modified single piece body casting is produced from steel and is precision machined and fully stress relieved to keep it true throughout its working life. The full width high carbon steel blade is 3.17mm thick and is fully supported by the plane body for exceptionally smooth cutting. The fine pitch blade adjustment thread makes blade setting incredibly accurate. Hardened to Rc 60-64, the blade will take a razor sharp edge. The bronze cap iron features a palm rest allowing the plane to fit snugly in the palm of the hand. This plane measures 167mm x 45mm.
